Ai Iijima 饭岛爱 is a 34 year old media personality and former AV star. Her real name is Mitsuko Ishii and in her late teens, she appeared on late night adult TV game shows as a “T-Back girl”, one of the models wearing a skimpy thong. Her stage name was chosen by a fan survey.
She later entered into the Adult Video business and became a big star but quit by the age of 20. After this, she crossed over into mainstream television variety shows, one of the few “talent” so far to successfully make such a transition. She is now an established celebrity on Japanese television, appearing in travel, lifestyle, game shows, and quiz shows.

Nao Oikawa 及川奈央 is former adult video star who like Ai Iijima made a successful move into mainstream Japanese TV. This 25 year old is a friend of comedian Hard Gay and she is also the former girlfriend of comedian Tomonori Jinnai who is getting married to actress Norika Fujiwara in February. in Japan’s top 30 singles this week, Japanese group’s B’z has 2 singles in the top 30 Ichibu to Zenbu / Dive” and “my lonely town” holding the number one spot on the Oricon Jpop charts. Other notables in the chart are SCANDAL – “Yumemiru Tsubasa”, YUI – “It’s all too much/Never say die” and Sukima Switch – “Golden Time Lover” at number 2.

Japanese AV star Maria Ozawa 小澤マリア is definately looking at going mainstream like Nao Oikawa 及川奈央 and recently retired Ai Iijima 飯島 愛. Not content with just appearing in DS455’s rap music video and a Morinaga TV commercial, she is acting in her first mainstream movie. Japanese AV stars are quite popular in Taiwan and Taiwanese movie house Three Dots Entertainment have cast her in Taiwan’s first-ever slasher horror movie called “Invitation Only,”
In the film, Maria Ozawa plays a supermodel (what else?) with dialogue in both English and Japanese. The film co-stars Julianne Chu (who appeared in a low-budget Japanese sex and drugs movie Addict No Yûrekkan アディクトの優劣感).

Yua Aida あいだゆあ is a beautiful 24 year old gravure idol from Aichi prefecture who was formerly an AV superstar. From 2003-2007 she appeared in over 40 movies and had 5 photo books and due to her popularity was named number 1 AV actress in 2004 and was awarded the Japanese adult grand prix actress award for the year of 2005.
