In the 1980s Michael Jackson promoted Suzuki scooters in Japan while British pop group Wham promoted Maxell audio cassette tapes. Another British super band Duran Duran promoted Suntory’s Whiskey Q through a series of bizarre bobblehead TV commercials.

Pop groups selling their images to the highest bidder, Duran Duran are no different. Can’t quite fathom the the connection of pretty boy pop stars and Japanese salarymen drinking scotch
