Japanese fashion look bon-kyu-bon

Bon-kyu-bon Japanese fashion

Last weekend, the WSJ wrote an article about Japanese retailers trying to cash in on the new Japanese fashion look called”bon-kyu-bon” which means “big-small-big” and relates to the change in Japanese women’s figures.

Wacoal Love Bra

Due to the increasingly westernized diet, (eating much too many of these), young Japanese women are getting bigger and curvier (but somehow waists are getting smaller) creating the more westernized hourglass figure. The article mentions that Wacoal Corp., Japan’s largest lingerie company, was once known for its super-padded bras but now promotes the “Love Bra,” a cleavage-boosting creation with less padding, aimed at curvier women in their 20s. That girl on the left is just creepy, she reminds me of the alien “women”(disguised) in Mars attacks. XD
