Japanese teen girls show how to get double eyelids

Many Japanese women want to have Western features like bigger eyes and double eyelids. One way to get that look is through simple plastic surgery but for Japanese teenage girls or those who don’t want or cannot have surgery, there is an alternative involving simple glue and a pointy stick. The following video fashion tip from Japanese teen Erika shows you how they do it.

Aieee!!! The fools are spoiling the very essence of the cause of yellow fewer!

[…] I never really understood why some Asian females tend to do this. I’m not a big fan of plastic surgery either. Some Asian females tend to prefer the eyelids of “foreigners” with that double crease above the eye. When I first heard of them doing it, I didn’t pay much attention to it. But then JapanSugoi.com posted an article about it showing a video of how its done. Why change something that is a unique characteristic of you? I have read many times that many choose to do it to stand out from the crowd. I can accept that reasoning, but changing a physical feature of you besides hair is going a bit far to me. Jlist.com even has items related to this. They feature stickers as well as actual eyelid glue. Its ultimatly up to the individual on what he or she does to make them feel better about themselves. I guess here in the USA, that “trend” is Breast Enlargement. 1. Eyelid creases are not a “Western” feature. Half of all people in Japan have them.
2. Lots of cultures consider big eyes to be attractive. Look at the number of Hollywood types who’ve had “eyebrow lifts”.
3. “The fools are spoiling the very essence of the cause of yellow fewer!”
Get over it.

Wow! When I saw this I thought I thought that’s some crazy sh*t man! I was worried she was going to poke out her eye. And you know what? To be truthfully honest that girl looks better afterwards with the eye tuck. Sorry but that’s the way it is.

Yeah, it is wierd *agrees*. But it’s just how society is I guess…though I think people are also appreciating…natural single eyelids =P At least, more for men…like Rain, lol!
I’m chinese…and I have natural double eyelids because both my parents do, but I find that if I’ve been crying…they change to single, because my eyes get all swollen =PP
Haha…

Wow, while I was on the Ginza line to Shibuya, I saw a girl doing this and I wondered to myself “wtf? what is she doing?”
So I had to look it up…lol never thought it was something like this….

exactly.
get over this, cause a lot of celebrities get butt lifts, breast jobs, botox, add lip collogen and the list goes on and on..
this is a personal choice, and if this is what makes them happy, so just let them be.

Asians eyes are what makes us unique and different from Westerners. We asians should be proud of that and not try to follow someone’s else foot steps. Be proud with what God gives you.
