Jpop of the 1970’s and 1980’s

Chage and AskaJapanese Pop Music, more commonly known as “Jpop” has been very popular outside of Japan for the last decade. Many of you are familiar with artists such as SMAP, Utada Hikaru, Namie Amuro, Puffy, Ayumi Hamasaki, Koda Kumi etc. In the 1970’s and 1980’s Jpop was very different. I found some great clips on youtube of Jpop during those 2 decades. If you’re born after 1985 I doubt you will have heard of any of them..but for any of fan of Jpop, a great look back at the former stars! My personal favourite from the list is Chage & Aska and its great to the longevity of idol Noriko Sakai.
