MINMI, HipHop, Raggae and Soca artist
MINMI is a 29 year old Osaka born Japanese hip hop singer. She started her career back in 1996 at clubs in Osaka performing both hip hop and reggae. She released her first album in August 2003 and has since released 4 albums and 8 Singles. She has a big following in Japan as well as in Jamaica and in Trinidad Tobago, the home of Soca music.
MINMI is one of those rare artists in Japan that does all her own songwriting, arrangements and production. Her production is so highly rated in the industry that she also gets offers to produce for others.
