Yanawaraba やなわらばーErai Tokoro Ni Totsuide Shimatta

Jpop duo Yanawaraba やなわらばー comprises of talented singer songwriters Rio Aizato & Yuu Ishigaki. Like Jpop group BEGIN, they are also from Ishigaki island in Okinawa. Their last song Haikei00San was also the theme song for a Yukie Nakama comedy called “I’ve Been Married To Hell! / Oh! My Mother in Law!” Erai Tokoro ni Totsuide Shimatta! エラいところに嫁いでしまった. that was broadcast on TV Asahi earlier this year. The duo has released 1 mini album and 6 singles since 2003 including 夢を見た which was released in May. Yanawaraba Videos

    Yukie Nakama, Hifana, Namie Amuro, SPEED, Gackt, Max, Meisa Kuroki, Yu Yamada, Yui Aragaki, Soulhead just to name a few from Okinawa.

    You missed out D-51, Orange Range and Mongol 800 (who played at my friend’s wedding after-party).

    Don’t get me wrong: Okinawa has produced some good musical artists, and I love this prefecture that I call home. But the first comment is stretching things a little.

    Yes, the 1st claim was probably too big, but you can safely say that Okinawa produces LOTS of music talents FOR SURE ^Ô^
