Sex Machineguns are a Japanese Speed Metal band that started in 1996 touring live houses and clubs. Their name is intentionally similar to that of the Sex Pistols and, according to the band, “implying that [we] machineguns are more extreme than [the] pistols”.

In 1998 after their first commercial release, they quickly gained a very large fanbase and sold out their shows. They play a very bass-heavy form of heavy metal music and the band rides an image of being “Shock Rockers” by wearing crazy, exotic outfits.

8 years on, the band continues to be popular and successful but rumors of the group’s breakup have spread this year as some of the group members have working on a new group side project. Check out their amazing TV commercial to promote their latest single.
