Stunning photos from the Tokyo VR project
Tokyo is an amazing city full of skyscrapers but also with traditional neighborhoods. We’ve seen some great photos of Tokyo but we recently came across the stunning 3D panoramas from the Tokyo VR Project! operated by Japanese company Plasma.
The site allows you to explore a variety of urban settings - buildings, rail stations, street level shops, construction sites etc. both above and below ground using manipulable QuickTime VR images and the results are amazing. You’ll feel like you’re actually here in Tokyo at that location.
Click on the images on this post and remember to let each page load completely before you start zooming around or else you’ll see a black and white grid. You will of course, also need Apple QuickTime installed.
The view inbetween skyscrapers
The view under an elevated road and inbetween skyscrapers
Bonus points to anyone who can guess the exact locations of any of these brilliant photos.
