Yebisu beer jello エビスビールゼリー for dessert

In Japan you can get coffee beer, chocolate beer and even milk beer. Going the other way, we have beer flavored jelly (jello) エビスビールゼリー from Japanese brewer Yebisu which is cleverly marketed as a dessert. So, if you’ve drank enough beer over dinner but still want to enjoy something sweet for dessert, this gelatin based on Yebisu premium beer is for you. We tried it and it’s similar to a (vodka) jello shot.

You can purchase Yebusi beer jello at the Ebisu Garden Beer Museum’s souvenir shop in Tokyo. Cost is about 200 yen for an individual packet or 1,100 yen for a gift box of six.

beer is an interesting flavor for jello, would it taste sweet or bitter?
